Josh, sorry this is a repeat from another topic but I'd like to see the number of people (in a contrasting color) that are in the chat room in the nav bar on the left.

I think it would be cool to be able to post deals that you have completed in your profile. Give the numbers (if you want to). This would allow us to better judge someone's experience and could be very educational to investors in or around the same area.

Bob -
This has been a feature that has been around since January. Just go to your DASHBOARD, then click on EDIT PROFILE, and on the INVESTING TAB, you'll see that you can show how many deals you've completed, and how many you've got that are active.

When I am reading posters with whom I am not familiar, I often find myself trying to figure what post number the post was for them WHEN THEY POSTED IT.

This applies to newbies mostly. It especially is interesting when reading an older thread from the archives or one that has just been revived due to a new post to it.

How about where it says: "Post: ##" if it said "Post XX of YY"?

The site really is awesome!

Having read your above post, a had to really think if I would change anything. This was the only thing of which I could think.

I know this has been suggested in another post but I want to bring it up here.

I'd like to see a place where you can go and post topics about your area/state.

Every market is different and I'd like to see whats going on in the local market.. I'm still amazed when I see people say they bought a house for $50k, here that's a modest down payment.

It'd be much easier and beneficial for people to be able to get to know their own market by netoworking with the locals....

Anyone have anyyyyy interest????

I'd be interested in the state specific sub-forums. The only reason I'm ok with it is because of the nice "Post since last visit" button.

Ok guys . . . I see that there is definitely interest in having state specific sub-forums. I'll take a serious look at making it happen.

If it is a complete bust, though, can I blame you all? Mr. Green

Ok well then since you just had to go ahead and add so many neat features I think I need to take some of my forum reading time and allocate it to web page exploration haha :P

Thanks!!!

Ok I checked out what you referenced and I see where you are talking about however that was not quite what I had in mind...

I was thinking it would be neat to be able to lay out the specifics of a deal (aside from typing them in the text boxes in the "Investing" tab. So you could put the city, sate, zip, purchase price, selling price (if applicable), operating expenses (if applicable), etc...

It would also be neat to lay out what deals you are actively working on (again with similar information) because maybe you are into a deal that someone else can help you with but you didn't know they could...

Thats more what I had in mind with my original post...

Interesting idea, Bob. What do others think about that idea? I'm not certain that folks would want to share all of that info, but if people were interested in doing so, I think it could make a cool addition....

Anyone else?

I am sure that some people wouldn't want to put that information up, but as long as the fields were not required to submit the deal into your profile they could in essence redact any information they didn't want everyone to know about.

Maybe it would also be an option to make the deal only viewable by people you are "colleagues" with... This would give the user the ability to control the privacy of the deal a little more.... and again, it would be optional so you don't HAVE to put anything up, but if you wanted to, then more power to ya!

Groovy
