BiggerPockets was built for professionals and others in real estate to network, learn, and do business together.

By adding colleagues, you grant those people access to your email address and other private information. By adding a colleague, you do so at your own discretion.

That said, if you do invite someone to be your colleague and they send you SPAM or ANY OTHER UNWANTED SOLICITATION, please let us know. It is against our TOS, and we will ban those users immediately!

BiggerPockets does not condone this behavior and wants to be sure that you are not pestered by anyone actively doing this.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Not presently. but we have had that as a restriction in the past.

We will remove the privilege from anyone who abuses the system and sends SPAM or other unsolicited solicitations to other members.

Be sure to report such activities to me if it happens.

I am new here, so go easy on me! I suppose my answer would come from reading the tutorials....but... I am the type that tries things on their own! So... Very Sad If I see somebodies post that I would like to converse with privately, how do I add them as a friend?

Steven -
The tutorials would answer your question, but I'll help you out. Just go to someone's profile and you'll see a link below their avatar where you can add them as a colleague.

Good luck and welcome!
